Classic Beef Burger
Enjoy a juicy beef burger with all the fixings, which is a classic American comfort food. This recipe is easy to make and great for dinner during the week or at a barbecue.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 4 tomato slices
- 4 red onion slices
- 4 pickle slices
- Ketchup and mustard for topping
Instructions:
Preheat grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat
Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties
Season each patty with salt and black pepper
Place patties on the grill or pan and cook for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare or longer for desired doneness
During the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheddar cheese to each patty and cover to melt
Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster
Assemble burgers: Place lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle slices on the bottom half of each bun
Add the cooked burger patty with melted cheese on top of the vegetables
Spread ketchup and mustard on the top bun, then place it on the patty
Serve immediately and enjoy your classic beef burger!
